Athana first joined Smart TMS as a practitioner in 2021, progressing to the Lead Practitioner role over a period of three and a half years. She then moved into local government, working in Social Services before becoming a Business and Performance Manager within a local authority. Returning to Smart TMS in 2026 as Managing Director, Athana brings a blend of public and private sector experience, combining expertise in mental health, business development, and strategic leadership.
