World Mental Health Day
Smart TMS is pleased to support World Mental Health Day, an annual event dedicated to ‘Make mental health & well-being for all a global priority’.
The WHO (World Health Organisation) explains the purpose of this international annual event:
“The overall objective of World Mental Health Day is to raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.
“The Day provides an opportunity for all stakeholders working on mental health issues to talk about their work, and what more needs to be done to make mental health care a reality for people worldwide.”
World Mental Health Day on Monday 10th October 2022 is an opportunity to raise awareness of mental health and the issues surrounding it. It is a means of enabling people with mental health conditions, advocates, governments, employers, employees and other stakeholders to come together to recognise progress in this field as well as to promote what we needs to be done to ensure that Mental Health & Well-Being becomes a Global Priority for all.
Partners of World Mental health Day include the World Federation for Mental Health and the The Mental Health Foundation.
Smart TMS welcomes events such as World Mental Health Day, as they raise awareness of the need to look after mental health and also help to reduce the stigma surrounding it, so that sufferers and those around them can feel more open about raising discussion of their own issues and seeking help.
